On September 10, the Cedar Hill City Council adopted the Fiscal Year 2024-25 budget, which includes a recommendation for a reduction in the property tax rate to $0.636455 per $100 valuation. The proposed budget maintains the services infrastructure, and amenities that are the foundation to everyday life in Cedar Hill for about $5 per day for the average homeowner. The following statement is required to be published on the city's website: City of Cedar Hill ADOPTED A TAX RATE THAT WILL RAISE MORE TAXES FOR MAINTENANCE AND OPERATIONS THAN LAST YEAR'S TAX RATE. THE TAX RATE WILL EFFECTIVELY BE RAISED BY 3.50 PERCENT AND WILL RAISE TAXES FOR MAINTENANCE AND OPERATIONS ON A $100,000 HOME BY APPROXIMATELY $-9.95.
